Inspiring all children to lead healthy, active lives through inclusive PE.

Vision

Our PE programme aims to inspire all children to lead healthy, active lives through a high-quality, inclusive curriculum while fostering progression and lifelong engagement with physical activity.

Teaching approach

  • Two weekly lessons per class (Nursery through Year 6) — one with a PE specialist, one with the class teacher
  • Both indoor gym and outdoor sessions
  • The GetSet4PE scheme for structured skill progression
  • Focus on key concepts: Invasion Games, Sending/Receiving, Net and Wall games, and Striking/Fielding
  • Consistent lesson structure: Ready and Retrieval, Develop and Apply, Reflect and Review

Ensuring progress for all

  • EYFS: Development of fundamental movement skills through active play
  • KS1: Building on foundations with running, jumping, throwing, catching and collaborative games
  • Lower KS2: Refining skills in complex activities with game tactics and teamwork
  • Upper KS2: Mastery of techniques, outdoor challenges and leadership skills

Additional support includes assessment during every lesson, partnerships with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Enfield PE team, inter-school cluster competitions emphasising inclusive participation, and daily enrichment opportunities.
