How Wolfson Hillel uses Pupil Premium funding to support pupils.

What is the Pupil Premium?

The Pupil Premium is a grant paid to schools based on school census figures for pupils registered as eligible for free school meals in Reception to Year 6. Additional funding is provided for looked-after children.

This funding is supplementary to base school financing. We allocate it specifically to address inequalities and ensure resources reach the students who require the most support.

How we use the funding

Our primary aim is to narrow attainment disparities between different pupil groups while supporting their overall well-being and skill development. Our strategy involves:

  • Continuous monitoring of all pupil groups to ensure good or better progress
  • Targeted support and interventions to remove learning barriers
  • Staff training and development to enhance teaching quality across the board

Accountability

The Headteacher and Governing Body endorse these objectives and oversee fund utilisation to confirm value for money. Leadership regularly monitors, evaluates and reviews Pupil Premium strategies, reporting outcomes and impact to the governing body.
